Job role: Health and Safety Administrator

Pay Rate: £10.77 per hour

Job Type: Temp to Perm

Location: Coventry

Hours: Full-Time – Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (hybrid working after fully training)

Start Date: ASAP

Office Angels are delighted to be in partnership with a client based in Coventry that are seeking for a Health and Safety Administrator. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative experience and will be supporting an integral part of the business within the Health and Safety Department.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Specify and source specialist Health & Safety and Environmental training e.g. NEBOSH certificate and IPAF as required
  • Produce monthly Health & Safety committee minutes & statistics for Operations Board report.
  • Ordering & issuing of PPE so that employees have PPE relevant to their role.
  • Provide administrative support for Health & Safety and Environmental Audits and Incident reports so that they are completed in a timely manner.
  • Preparing presentations for Health & Safety & Environmental Meetings so that any issues are communicated to the business effectively.
  • File and organise of all the above processes to make sure that all files within the appropriate systems are updated and maintained on a daily basis so that records can be looked in to at any time of the month to resolve any queries.
  • Manage effective communication between the Health & Safety Department and key people within the business and key stakeholders, customers, and partners.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues in the Health & Safety Department to ensure that the team is unified, works collaboratively, and provides excellent customer service in a timely, effective, and consistent manner.
  • Carry out other duties as required and requested by line manager, in line with the job purpose.
  • Key Skills and Experience:

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Applications i.e Word, Excel & Outlook
  • A flexible work approach
  • Good attention to detail
  • The ability to prioritise your own workload in a timely manner
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Health and Safety experience (Advantageous)
