Pay Rates:
£13.50-£14.50 PAYE inclusive of holiday per hour depending on skill and experience (Our client works via a direct engagement model and the rate will be paye inclusive of Holiday pay)
Working Days and Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, 37.5 hours a week
Job Summary:
Antenatal & Newborn screening and Immunisation Failsafe d uties
Check Antenatal bookings against blood results, screening lists and results available on a daily basis
Review all local and national screening failsafe databases on a daily basis taking appropriate action in line with local guidelines
Identify patients with incomplete screening and highlight this to the ANNB screening Coordinator / relevant team immediately
Ensure that all relevant Screening & Immunisation information is recorded accurately and methodically using the database System on a daily basis
Accessing the Pathology system to obtain patient results
To organise and coordinate Antenatal Screening meetings including provision of agenda, minute taking, and providing appropriate documentation for action/review
Support the neonatal intensive care team with monitoring of screening data / failsafe systems as deemed appropriate by the ANNB screening coordinator
Support the wider maternity team with administrative duties as deemed appropriate by the ANNB screening coordinator / maternity matron
Bring any adverse trends in the ANNB screening & Immunisation Service to the attention of the ANNB screening coordinator
Quality, Safety & Learning duties
To be the first point of contact for the divisional Quality, Safety & Learning Team dealing with routine and non-routine enquiries, communicating relevant information to the most appropriate person in the Team. Answering telephone calls, taking messages and passing on to the relevant person and signposting.
Prepare agendas and papers for governance meeting across the division.
Attend designated meetings where the information may be complex and sensitive, taking and transcribing of minutes. Distribution of information prior to meetings, arranging circulation of minutes. Maintaining the electronic storage of all papers from the governance meetings.
To manage and maintain the local investigation and SI database providing a continuous overview of all open investigations.
Ensure local & SI investigation action plan trackers are kept up to date and assist the Patient Safety Midwives/Nurses & Governance Leads in collating action plan evidence.
To provide comprehensive administrative support to the clinical guideline groups, this includes assisting the guideline groups to monitor the progress of guideline reviews, liaising with guideline authors, formatting of all guidelines and maintenance of the guideline tracker to ensure guidelines are regularly updated within agreed timeframes.
Professional Development Administration duties:
Maintain a database of staff trained by the Professional Development Team and others
Arrange allocation of staff onto all training, as guided by the departments Training needs analysis
Ensure staff are fully informed of training days allocated.
In conjunction with the staffing coordinator, CPE team and senior management Team, make any adjustments necessary to the allocation of training, ensuring staff are kept fully informed of any changes.
Collate a robust evidence trail of attendees at each training session and forward plan for future training needs for each individual.
Work with the staffing coordinator to add clinicians to the work roster for allocated training.
Supply any relevant training evidence to the project lead for the education safety standard as guided by CNST
To carry out project work relating to improving the knowledge and skills of staff, this may be adhoc or take precedent over other activities.
To carry out general administrative duties e.g. photocopying, scanning, and distribution of mail.
