An exciting new role has arisen within the Faculty of Medicine in our Research Support Office as a Research Data Administrator.

The post holder will utilise the University’s research information system (Pure) to monitor and maintain the data used to update our website and create reports for external funders. No previous experience of using Pure is required as full training will be provided.

In addition, you will provide administrative support to our Fellowship Mentoring Group by monitoring and tracking applications and providing secretarial support.

We are looking for an administrator who is comfortable using IT systems to maintain data. You will need the ability to think logically and display excellent attention to detail. The post holder will be comfortable using Excel on a regular basis to monitor updates and progress. Experience of using other Microsoft Office programmes including SharePoint, Outlook and Teams is desirable.

In return, you can look forward to an excellent benefits package. The role is based at Southampton General Hospital. Hybrid working is available, with the option to work from home several days per week (subject to satisfactory completion of an induction period).

We are proactive in fostering a culture of inclusion, respect and equality of opportunity. We select candidates on the basis of merit and ability and aspire to thrive in the diversity of our workforce. We welcome applications from all candidates with an interest in the role and those who are committed to helping us create an inclusive work environment. We encourage applications from candidates from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities, people who identify as LGBTQ+; and people with disabilities.

The post is offered on a two-year, full time (36 hours per week) basis.
