Adecco are currently recruiting on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary for an IT Security Manager to join their in-house team to deliver the highest level of compliance and security to the internal IT infrastructure.

Salary: £42, – £54,

Location : Winsford

Hours: Monday-Friday – flexible office hours, primarily office-based

Duration: Permanent, Full-time

    • Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for suggesting recommendations on the technical direction of IT Security services

  • Accountable for providing technical/security design and governance whilst ensuring compliance in line with relevant legislation and regional and national standards

  • Highlight known risks to Head of IT and Information Security

  • Always act proactively to mitigate and avoid any risks, reputation damage or potential fines

  • Act as Deputy Head of IT and InfoSec

  • Manage internal budgets

    • Key Skills:

  • Communicate in a professional manner to individuals of all levels of rank and seniority

  • Excellent communication and service skills with ability to confidently present suggestions

  • Be able to problem solve and proactively act

  • Have a strong level of general IT knowledge and be a confident IT user

  • Possess a strong understanding of IT Security

  • Display confident knowledge of best practices and ISOs

    • Salary range is commensurate on experience and qualifications – CISSP accreditation is advantageous, however Cheshire Constabulary are able to offer funding for this qualification if not possessed.
