Day to day support and administration of clinical systems and patient data stored on clinical systems managed by team.

Support in current and future projects and upgrades for current and future systems.

Providing a support service to users of PACS, RIS and all other systems and workflows supported by the team.

Working with range of teams both internal and externally to the Trust.

Provide a support service for associated imaging systems.

Main duties of the job

PACS and Associated Imaging Systems

  • Maintain the national codes sets on PACS.
  • Provide a support service to users of the PACS.
  • Be support for the management of new starters and leavers ensuring that the creation of PACS accounts for new users is done in a timely and secure manner.
  • Provide support for resolving PACS issues in relation to PACS user accounts and liaising with the ICT response centre as appropriate. 
  • To provide support for checking and correcting clinical patient demographic details on PACS and amalgamating unspecified clinical images.

    Detailed job description and main responsibilities

    RIS & VR software

  • Provide support in maintaining the national codes sets on RIS.
  • Provide a support service to users of the RIS and VR.
  • Provide support for the management of new starters and leavers ensuring that the creation of RIS accounts for new users is done in a timely and secure manner.
  • Support appropriate maintenance and housekeeping arrangements to support the day to day operation of RIS.
  • Liaise with the RIS provider with regards to fault logging, arranging preventative maintenance etc.
  • General

  • Support and provide PACS and RIS training not provided by the training department to clinical end users of the systems.
  • Attend compulsory staff training courses.
  • Undertake any other task, as requested by the ICT Clinical System Manager, in accordance with the grade and nature of the post.
