We have a fantastic opportunity for a Treasury Cashier to join our team based in Stockport. The salary on offer is up to £22,000.

The role of the Treasury Cashier is to provide central cash management and treasury support to the business ensuring high quality treasury cashiering service is provided, through assisting the Treasury leaders in delivering a comprehensive treasury service to the business; supporting the treasury function in allocating corporate cash in accordance with the Group Treasury Policy; and supporting the delivery of high quality timely and accurate allocation of cash.

You will support the optimisation of cash throughout the group including achievement of the organisations cash and debt goals and support the organization by providing accurate MI.

The successful candidate must ensure a good working knowledge of NAV, Horizon, Oracle, and Excel; an accurate and timely allocation of customer cash/ other receivables and payables to the correct ledger codes; and must consult with credit controllers daily to cover dedicated accounts. You will be accurate and timely in processing of refunds and credits; ensure all necessary paperwork and/or entries are completed accurately, and information is well documented; and maintain an accurate record of all activity and ensure that all documents are properly filed and easily retrievable for reference.

Ensuring all customer cheque receipts are allocated in a timely manner and file maintained to high standard, you will resolve unallocated cash internally and externally; ensuring adequate controls and procedures are being adhered to achieve best practice across treasury processes. You must support the Treasury Team on customer setup and maintenance processes; collate and analyze data from various sources and report findings to other departments within the organisation; and prepare ad-hoc reporting as required, including MI analysis and reporting.

Consulting with Accounts Payable, Credit Control, HQ, Zonal finance teams and banks to ensure timely resolution of treasury related queries is crucial, and you must always provide excellent customer service while assisting Treasury Manager, Treasury Team Lead and Treasury Cashiers with any ad-hoc tasks as required. It is imperative that you attend all team meetings and minimum of once a week in the office.

To succeed, candidates must have an excellent level of numeracy and robust system skills – particularly of Microsoft NAV, Oracle, and Horizon. A good understanding of Microsoft Office including Excel (such as V-Lookups, Pivot tables) is key for this role. Awareness of Financial Controls and Governance is a must, as is the ability to extract data from various sources. AAT/ACCA/CIMA qualification is desirable but not essential.
