Our client is currently recruiting for a Substance Misuse Worker, pay £20ph, duration of the role is expected until late December or early January , our client is recruiting for this role on a permanent basis. Hours Mon-Fri 37.5 per week, an Enhanced DBS Is required for this role that is registered on the updated service. This role is based fully on site in Edgeware.

This role will be involved with holding cases that are stepped down from structured treatment into recovery support to support with building recovery capital and reduce representations and also to increase group provision and sit within existing Recovery Team.

Duties;

  • Provide substance misuse interventions for a medium caseload of low to medium risk ‘recovery support only’ service users.

  • To develop and provide events and activities focused around recovery capital with special focus on health and wellbeing.

  • To encourage and support individuals into paid employment and/or relevant training, education or occupation

  • Support with implementing health awareness campaigns and contribute to ongoing campaigns within the Borough
