The Role

As the maintenance engineer you will be responsible for all electrical and mechanical fault finding and rectification work on production lines on site. This will include fault finding through to a competent level with a multimeter or by checking inputs and outputs, reading schematics and checking HMI screens.

Electrical components include sensors, relays, safety circuits, 3 phase motors, inverters, switches & panels. PLC experience will require checking of inputs/outputs, ladder logic, uploading and downloading programs.

Mechanical work will include fault finding, swapping like for like on components such as bearings, motors, belts, blades.

The work will be predominantly reactive maintenance.

The Candidate

To be successful in your maintenance engineer application you must have the following skills, abilities or qualifications:

  • Must have a recognised qualification (apprenticeship, NVQ level 3, BTEC, ONC, C&G, HNC, HND).
  • Experience working as a maintenance engineer
  • A positive can-do attitude.
  • Good diagnostic and problem solving skills
  • Strong technical leadership skills 
  • Able to commute to banbury
