As a Field Visiting Officer , you will visit customers currently without a TV licence at addresses throughout Bristol, BS postcode areas helping them firstly understand and comply with the legislation behind the TV licence, explaining how they can obtain one, and enabling them to find a payment plan that works for them.
Along with a permanent contract and a starting salary of £23,680 you will also be eligible for an uncapped commission scheme offering an annual average of £5,856 in additional earnings (taking the salary to an average of £29,536 pa uncapped). In addition, an annual business mileage allowance of 45p per mile on the first 10,000 miles travelled paid from and to your home address.
You’ll be working a 36.5-hour week on a flexible shift pattern , with 16 hours to be completed between 4pm-9pm Monday-Friday or anytime at weekend, with a potential of a four-day working week in either a part-time or full-time capacity.
Experience in a similar role isn’t essential, though previous experience working in a field-based role is desirable. You’ll receive four weeks of training at the start and work with a training officer on the road until you’re comfortable with the role. With support from your manager, you’ll have the chance to grow your skills and progress your career, whether that’s into a management role or within the wider business .
