Job Description

An award-winning Technical Design Consultancy are looking to hire a Business Development Manager to secure new business and develop existing clients with flexible hybrid working, once initial training has been completed. Offering a starting salary from £50,000p/a with potential to earn percentage based commission on projects secured.

Researching and prospecting businesses via any channel available, you will have proven experience of closing sales with start-ups to world leading brands. You will be able to confidently represent the company and have a desire to continuously improve and develop.

Working as a Business Development Manager your duties will include;

  • Researching target clients to identify opportunities
  • Following up sales leads, undertaking meetings on and off site, events and industry relevant seminars and exhibitions
  • Maintaining relationships with current clients and exploring any opportunities for revenue growth
  • Contacting and developing relationships with lapsed clients
  • Participating in weekly sales meetings, forecasting, planning and collating statistical data to present
  • Preferably based in or near to the Oxford area, you will mainly be based on-site, however once the initial training period is completed (approx. 3 months), you will have the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis. Occasional travel will be required to attend events in the UK.

    Ideally you will have;

  • Experience working as a Business Development Manager and proven experience converting leads into sales.
  • A degree in Business, Product Design, Graphic Design or Engineering etc
  • Aptitude for opportunity spotting
  • Understanding of product development or innovation
  • Experience of presenting and communicating complex subject matter
  • Outstanding customer care / customer service experience
  • Offering a starting salary of £50-55,000p/a plus commission, you will receive 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays with additional leave for special occasions. Cycle to work schemes, season ticket loans and more.
