The role
There is a Team Manager vacancy in our Fostering-Support and Development Team, which delivers good outcomes for Lewisham Children.

The ideal candidate will need to have significant experience in fostering and an understanding of the range of issues faced by vulnerable children, their families and the challenges that this brings for Foster Carers.

The candidate must demonstrate sound knowledge of the relevant standards and legislative framework: specifically Fostering Services (England) Regulations and the Fostering Services National Minimum Standards 1, Care Planning, Placement and Case Review Regulations 0 and Safeguarding Practice.

The candidate we are looking for must be experienced, competent, committed, enthusiastic, approachable, driven, well organised and able to challenge constructively in order to achieve and retain outstanding standards at all times.

Key responsibilities:
Manage a team of 5-6 Supervising Social Workers
Provide regular, high quality supervision
Monitor performance against key performance indicators and take appropriate action as necessary to improve performance.
Ensure that the fostering service is managed effectively in delivering a high quality service for children, young people and foster carers.
Quality Assurance
Effective collaborative working with other colleagues and stakeholders
