Robert Half are working with a renowned client on the outskirts of Swindon to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team. This assignment is a temp to perm opportunity, as the client are ultimately looking to make a permanent placement. The ideal characteristics of the candidate will be someone who shows compassion, loyalty and the ability to cope with the workload and gel well with the team.

The working hours are Monday to Friday; 35 hours a week working on-site in their incredible facilities, with an hourly rate of £12-£14 an hour PAYE.

The Role

The role of Purchase Ledger Clerk within this business will be varied. The responsibilities include but not won’t be limited to:

  • Monthly reconciliations of bank, creditors and suspense accounts
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Provide accurate and timely analysis of invoices as requested
  • Distribute information and documents across departments to budget holders
  • Process weekly BACS payment run

    The ideal candidate for this role will have previous relevant experience within purchase ledger or accounts payable, be a confident user of Excel and be available for work relatively quickly (1 week notice period as a maximum, ideally immediately available).
