Children’s Team Leader
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join an award-winning, Investor in People Gold standard organisation as a Team Leader for a children’s home.
I have an exciting opportunity to work for a leading provider of children’s services, as a residential Team Leader. You will work with disadvantaged children many of whom have a history of trauma, neglect or abuse, supporting them with all aspects of their growth, development and enjoyment of life. You will help to provide a safe, nurturing, caring and therapeutic home environment that supports all their needs, and enables them to thrive and flourish.
The role can be incredibly rewarding, but can also be challenging at times. You will be there during the good times, as well as the difficult times, and will need to show resilience and determination to overcome the hurdles, and learn and develop in your role.
You will need to have some experience of working in a children’s residential home as well as some senior or supervisory experience, and ideally a Level 3 or 4 qualification in children and young people. You will have a good understanding of the role and the challenges faced by the young people.
Driver with access to a vehicle (due to location)
Flexible to work to a shift rota which will include regular sleep shifts
Experience working with children
Experience of leading or supervising a team
39 hours per week + sleep ins
Salary in region of £28,500 – £31,000 (inclusive of sleep-in shifts)
30 days (22 days plus 8 bank holidays) annual leave allowance
On-going training and learning through our Learning & Development Team
We will pay for your qualification – Level 4 Diploma in Residential Child Care
