Rullion have an exciting contract position for an Engineering Trainer/Assessor working with a world leading rolling stock company, based out of their bespoke modernisation centre in Widnes, Cheshire. You will be working within a team of Trainer/Assessors, that service our clients needs across the UK. Your role will primarily be based at Widnes. The purpose of the role is to provide relevant engineering training and assessment programmes to develop personnel in a safety critical environment. Role is to: Provide clarity, consistency and trace-ability of training solutions and assessments. Develop material or external training solutions that are cost-effective and open to continuous improvement. Undertake training needs analysis in areas of responsibility. Deliver training modules to depot staff Develop and manage the performance of all team members/technicians and ensure that long-term skill requirements are met. Develop detailed site training plan. Encouraging change through learning and personal development. Become a role model for The Modernisation Centre. Identifying and developing suggestions for improvements so that both Maintenance and overall performance is continually enhanced. Provide technical guidance to Maintenance Teams. Identify and document Safety Critical Work for Maintenance staff to ensure the competence of persons performing Safety Critical Work, by application of competence management system. This is a 6-month contract role working on a 37 Working hours week. 07:30 hours to 15:30 hours Monday to Thursday 07:30 hours to 15:00 hours on a Friday. Requirements for the post: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in either electrical or mechanical engineering. Qualified Assessor – D32, A1 or equivalent. You will be subject to Drugs & Alcohol testing due to the nature of the working environment.
