Corporate Responsibility Manager (Sustainability & Environmental)
Reporting to Snr Environment Manager
£50,000 plus Car Allowance

The Role
As a Corporate Responsibility Manager you will report directly to the Senior Environment Manager in the Corporate Responsibility Team, you will lead the delivery of the environment strategy, working on a range of sustainability and environmental issues

This role involves supporting the Senior Environment Manager in delivery of projects with a number of teams including facilities management, engineering, procurement, finance, and workplace managers across the Clients UK sites

This role requires strong team working and collaboration skills, comfort with complex data and information, strong employee engagement skills and above all a commitment to excellent delivery.

Responsibilities
” Drive this client environmental strategy across the firm in order to minimise our environmental impacts and reach our ambitious goals, working with a range of stakeholders.
” Proactively seek opportunities to work cross functionally and collaboratively with members  to share information and implement environmental improvement projects
” Identify and evaluate new opportunities to follow environmental best practice and continually reduce impact of the firm, managing these through to realisation
” Manage, monitor and review environmental performance quarterly/annually (as appropriate) against KPIs reporting results to senior stakeholders
” Manage external assurance of environment and community data for inclusion in annual review
” Ensure the timely and accurate completion and submission of all necessary environmental data and performance disclosures both internally and externally
” Oversee the ongoing ISO14001 and ISO50001 certification process supporting the development of the system in line with requirements of the standard.
” Act as environmental stakeholder for Sustainable Procurement programme, driving environmental improvement through the supply chain in line with our targets
” Support with environmental communications; relevant award submissions, responding to external environmental disclosure requests, supporting client teams with complex PQQs, and promoting the environmental programme internally and externally
” Support the implementation of our employee engagement strategy
” Effectively influence and manage multiple stakeholders across the firm including ensuring the Environmental Steerco is a success
” Maintain status as internal environmental expert with specialist environmental knowledge through CPD and internal and external networking
” Support the Senior Manager on adhoc projects

The individual
” 3-5 years’ experience in an Environment or Sustainability role
” Degree qualified in a relevant discipline, ideally to include an environmental element
” Environmental qualifications and ongoing commitment to CPD
” Excellent project management and organisational skills, delivering high quality work on time and to budget
” Experience of staff engagement on environmental issues
” Experience of handling complex data sheets and good analytical and numeracy skills
” Experience of providing statistical analysis and performance reporting on environmental KPIs
” Experience in managing ISO14001/ISO50001 certification process
” Experience of providing statistical analysis and performance reporting on environmental KPIs
” Experience of preparing environmental information for annual report and internal reporting systems
” Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate assertively with internal stakeholders in writing and in person and a wide range of external contacts
