Salary up to £21,222 per annum pro-rata

18.5 hours per week for 38 weeks per year

We have an exciting opportunity to work within our Estates & Facilities team supporting young people in an education environment and ensuring their safety and welfare is a priority.

You will have empathy for young people and the personal presence and the ability to challenge inappropriate behaviour and manage difficult situations.  Excellent communication and administrative skills are also essential.

It is desirable you hold a qualification in youth work, or the willingness to work towards one, accompanied by Level 2 or equivalent in maths and English alongside a first aid qualification or willingness to undertake training within 6 months.

Evening Ranger Hours:

  • Monday 15.15pm to 18.45pm
  • Tuesday to Thursday 17.30pm to 21.30pm
  • Friday 15.00pm to 18.00pm

The Evening Ranger will be responsible for the welfare and safety of the college community during the evenings and, when necessary, will assist caretakers with security of the buildings.

This post is based at Suffolk New College Ipswich Campus. However Suffolk New College is a multi campus site therefore you may be required to work at and travel between campuses.
