As a collaborative, highly motivated team, skilled in many applications and methodologies, the ServiceNow Platform Team offers many opportunities to learn and develop. You can expect to:

  • carry out day-to-day administration of the ServiceNow platform, contributing to changes to the platform such as integration with new systems
  • be responsible for error identification and remediation and ensuring that system and data table management conforms to policy and standards
  • provide support to end-users, support teams and suppliers
  • support lifecycle-of-change software versions of ServiceNow
  • monitor platform availability, security, performance and operational capability
  • identify platform enhancements to maximise value, inputting into roadmaps and continual improvement plans for the platform

What You Need

Prioritising the needs of end-users while delivering a secure, high-quality platform will be a key challenge. To succeed, you’ll need to be curious, collaborative, tenacious in problem-solving and ready to learn. Although specific knowledge of ServiceNow is not required, you should have some exposure to developing and configuring an enterprise platform. You will bring:

  • hands-on experience of day-to-day technical platform administration, support and maintenance.
  • Some understanding of some of the following technologies: cloud and virtual platform solutions, networking technologies, Desktop OSs (Windows 10, MacOS), Server OSs (Windows Server, Linux), Mobile OS (Windows, Android, iOS), PowerShell scripting, administration of Active Directory Services, Public Key Cryptography, administration of certification authority services, DNS (internal, external) and JavaScript
  • an ability to prioritise a complex, technical workload to meet business needs
  • strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establishing positive, collaborative working relationships with customers, colleagues, process owners and suppliers
  • a solid understanding of effective service management and ITIL processes and their application to IT operations
  • the ability to pass security clearance, backed by the right to work in the UK

About The Team

The ServiceNow Platform Team is currently a small team developing and supporting the ‘Now Platform’ SaaS in a hybrid model remotely and from our office in Victoria Street.

We handle requests and issues from business areas together with project work to deliver new applications and automations destined to be used throughout both Houses. Our development roadmap is closely aligned with the Transforming Digital directorate and are a key influence in digital strategy and maturity.
