An excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer or Project Manager to join an industry specialist in metal and steel manufacturing, with the opportunity to work with high level blue chip companies as you use your expertise to improve a range of areas within production and customer service.

This business are a long established firm and trusted supplier of metal and sheet fabrication to various industries, including blue chip construction customers and leading global companies such as Sandvik, Caterpillar and JCB. They also supply to various defence and security industries, offshore and Rail companies, broadcasting the range of services and customers they work with.

In this role you will be responsible for the overall development and maintaining of customer support, you will also be responsible for ensuring the process on the production floor is on time and to customer spec. This includes a strong knowledge of AutoCAD which is essential for billing, purchasing and buying materials for each specific project. You will need to be a multi-faceted individual, who is adept in both looking after customers specifications and requirements and also ensuring that these specifications are fulfilled on time and to a high standard. The business are looking for someone with a strong grounding in mechanical engineering with a formal engineering qualification, with good experience of dealing with customers in a similar role.

  • Take specifications from customers, identify and buy materials and parts for the project, oversee production of project process and ensure fulfillments are delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Handling customer specifications and requirements and delivering excellent customer assistance throughout process.
  • Oversee and supervise production process, ensuring production is sticking to time schedule and ensuring quality on the project is high.

The Person:

  • Strong grounding in engineering
  • Experience and knowledge of AutoCAD is essential
  • Experience working in similar role
