The DataWorks team exists to unlock the value from data in all areas of SPW. We build trusted data pipelines, create engaging visual content and constantly innovate using our cloud-only AWS architecture. We’re now looking for an MI Analyst to join our growing team of Data Engineers, Data Scientists and Analysts.
We’re still in the early stages of our data journey, but in a short space of time we have already made amazing progress, have a great culture and we are continuing to grow. If you have experience of producing and supporting high quality reports and dashboards in visualisation tools like Power BI, have a good eye for detail and love telling stories with data then this may be just the role you’re looking for.
You’ll be responsible for supporting and developing our existing Power BI reports to ensure they continue to provide the critical information that our stakeholders rely on. You’ll also be actively working with other teams to create new visualisations, engaging infographics and undertake exploratory analysis that will uncover the new insights that help us to change lives.
The role is primarily home based with occasional travel to regional offices (where we’ll get together from time to time for things like team meetings, hackathons and innovation days).
Curating datasets and creating visualisations using PowerBI
Maintaining existing PowerBI Apps
Stakeholder management, support and engagement
Analytical and data manipulation skills
Production of infographics and summary outputs to showcase new insights
Communication skills: able to communicate and engage using non-technical way and to gather/ replay requirements and outputs
Documentation skills: able to create and manage relevant documentation to support delivery
Preferred but not essential:
Financial services experience
Agile: awareness and ability to deliver in an Agile environment
Attention to detail
