Main duties and responsibilities

The successful candidate will assist with coordination and preparation of module teaching and learning activities, assist with the oversight of undergraduate and postgraduate projects, support student engagement activities, assist in developing exams, assessments and assigning study material to students, ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and procedures, be responsible for production, preparation and presentation of material for internal and external meetings, and support staff in delivering tutorials and clinical laboratories. Skills and experience required You will have appropriate administration ability, be able to collect, process analyse and present complex data, have a methodical approach and attention to detail, and have the ability to work accurately under pressure to tight deadlines. You will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of customer and partner care, including a polite, helpful and confident telephone manner, be proficient in English Language, be numerate, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate efficiently in a variety of formats to different audiences. You will have the ability to deal with sensitive material with strict confidentiality, have an awareness of the diversity within the student body, and have demonstrable ability to make contact with others to ensure that information is exchanged and circulated appropriately to the right person at the right time. Qualifications required You must have 5 GCSEs at grade C and above/grade 4 or above including Maths and English or proven professional work experience, preferably in a science or health-related discipline although this is not essential. Appropriate proven administrative experience in a complex and dynamic organisation is desirable.
