Main duties of the job

Some key duties include:

  • The delivery, fitting and collection of items in the community to the specifications set by clinicians with adherence to manufacturers guidelines
  • Communication between relevant teams to ensure the smooth and effective running of the service for clients. Communicating with patients and carers. Some patients may have barriers to understanding
  • Plan routes efficiently, liaising with office staff and in accordance with patient/carer
  • A secondary requirement of this role would be on occasions decontaminating equipment once returned and some administrative work.

    The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

    Essential criteria

  • Good standard of education & knowledge of MS Office software
  • BTEC level 3 in Disabled living trusted assessor course or relevant proven experience
  • Full driving licence
  • Experience of assembling equipment and following assembly instructions
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines and without direct supervision
  • Self motivating
  • To adhere to the risk assessment of the working environment on a daily basis, and responsible for assessing and reporting any risks when out in the community
  • Desirable criteria

  • Knowledge of Elms2 software
  • Experience of customer care
  • Ability to speak Welsh
  • Experience of and awareness of social care issues
