We are looking for someone with excellent report writing skills to join our Information Services team. In a varied role with exposure to a number of systems, you will provide support to users and carry out technical tasks such as troubleshooting systems and writing SQL driven reports.

AUB has a competitive salary scale with yearly increment points within each paygrade. The role attracts 25 days annual leave (plus Bank Holidays) , increasing with service, and we have a range of staff benefits. Hybrid working will be considered.

Skills and Experience :

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following:

  • Report Writing with Microsoft Reporting Services or similar software

  • SQL skills are desirable but can be trained in-house.

  • Working with a range of databases and Information Systems

  • Basic HTML for web pages and emails

  • Exposure to a Student Record System (we use SITS) would be a bonus, but not essential

  • Experience of a ServiceDesk ticketing system

  • Comfortable with MS Office suite and data manipulation

  • You should be able to demonstrate the following abilities:

  • Proven customer service skills

  • User support and training

  • Troubleshooting abilities

  • Communicate confidently with excellent written and spoken English

  • Attention to detail

  • Work independently but be open to collaboration

  • Ability to calmly cope with pressure at busy times and rapid changes in the priority of tasks

  • Higher Education Sector experience would be an advantage.
