Responsibilities
Own the Min/Max order fulfillment model for the relevant OPCOs. Ensure Min/Max is routinely reviewed and set to ultimately enhance optimal and cost effective stock holding for UK Bus
Provide insightful value driven reporting to Engineering / Procurement detailing areas for improvement, outlining the steps to be taken and following up on agreed actions
Ensure stock takes are performed by Stores colleagues across the OPCOs in line with UK Bus policy and provide analysis of discrepancies. Report discrepancies back with comments where appropriate to management
Manage obsolete and slow moving stock via reporting and communicate to OPCOs to ensure levels are minimized
Liaise with third party vendors to resolve any local issues that have an impact on stock levels or costs and provide reporting on vendor performance where appropriate
Ensure the day-to-day system requirements on Oracle are carried out effectively
Provide insightful adhoc value driven reporting to Engineering and Procurement and look for areas to reduce future costs
Work with other members of the inventory management teams to drive parts standardization and best practice across the UK Bus organization
Liaising with Stores / Procurement with an expectation of spending 3 days a month at the OPCO Depots to build relationships and focus on areas to improve supply chain efficiencies
Overnight stays may be required to meet business needs when travelling to the OPCOs which span from the North East to the Southern Counties of the UK.
Manual labour is required in this role to support the ongoing project of stores renovation
Qualifications
Experience of working in a supply chain organization in a similar or allied role in a large organization
Training or willing to train towards a professional supply chain qualification
Educated to A Level of an equivalent standard or qualified by experience
Practical experience of supply chain improvement methodologies (Six Sigma / LEAN / etc)
Process driven with an eye for spotting cost down / working capital reduction opportunities
Ability to work and thrive in a changing environment
Ability to work and thrive in a newly set up function
Good influencing and relationship building skills
Confident and resilient
Oracle experience is an advantage
Good Microsoft Office experience, particularly Excel.
Must have a full clean UK drivers’ license.
