An exciting opportunity to join a high performing team that covers the end to end process for migrating data from the analysis through coding and transformation to loading and reconciling. The Data migration team supports SS&C business with both on boarding new clients across all streams, Funds, Wealth & insurance dealing with team across the globe as well as direct contact with management company as well as supporting existing clients where needed. As a team we are always looking at ways to improve our processes, such as automation or utilising tools.

Main Responsibilities

Migration projects have the goal of moving all data on a legacy platform to a new target platform. The candidate will be responsible for all analysis tasks throughout the lifecycle of data migration projects. The primary analysis task is the data mapping between source and target systems, this includes mapping at a number of levels (entity, field, field values) and the definition of scoping rules. The main skills these tasks require are workshop facilitation, documentation and stakeholder management. Other responsibilities include defect analysis, root cause analysis and supporting developers / testers.

  • Desirable:

    Domain knowledge in one or more the following areas will assist the Business Analyst in the role:

  • Products: Pensions, ISAs, GIAs, Investment Bonds
  • Personal wealth investments: OEICs, Investment Trusts, Stocks etc
  • Platforms/wrap accounts (which enable an investor to hold a variety of assets)
