Applications are invited for the part-time post of Research Centre Administrator, based at the Institute for Manufacturing in West Cambridge, to support the Fluids and Nano research centres. The research of these centres is funded by several research grants from the EPSRC and international industrial programmes and they comprise Principal Investigators, Senior Research Associates, Research Associates, Graduate students and visitors.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative support for both centres to ensure the smooth and efficient running of research and related activities. You will also have responsibility for overseeing spends on research council awarded and industrial grants as well as reporting monthly spends and balances. In addition to this, you will be expected support the research teams in the purchasing tender process.

The successful candidate will be educated to at least HND/HNC level / Level 4/5 with experience in an administrative role. You will have excellent IT and organisational skills and proven knowledge of research coordination. The ability to work as part of a team and with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) are also essential attributes for this role.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 30 September 2024 in the first instance.
