The role

The School of Mathematics is seeking to appoint a Lecturer (analogous to Assistant Professor), Senior Lecturer, or Associate Professor in Statistical Science, the level of appointment depending on the experience of the successful candidate. Statistical Science is understood as covering Statistics, Applied Probability, Data Science and Machine learning. We are looking for a world-class researcher in any area in Statistical Science.

What will you be doing?

The post-holder will be responsible for their own research programme, undertaking independent research, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, and taking on appropriate administrative duties.

You have a passion for developing and leading innovative and impactful research in Statistical Science. You have demonstrated the self-motivation, initiative, and organizational skills required carry out a successful research programme. You have a proven publication record in internationally recognized, peer-reviewed scientific journals.
