School Personal Assistant (PA) – (Term Time Only)

Reporting to: Executive Principle

Location: East London

Contract: 36 Hours Per Week; Term Time Only

Salary: £30, to £34, pro rata

(Preferred experience within working in a school environment)

This is a school-based position. You will work closely with (and report to) the Executive Principle to provide confidential personal assistance on a daily basis. Including administrative and secretarial support ensuring good organisation and clear communication to ensure smooth running of the school.

Duties:

� Support the Executive Principal across a broad range of office management activities

� General administrative and secretarial duties and organisation of Executive Principal diary

� Organise the collation and distribution of correspondence and documentation in a timely manner

� Manage and organise work of a confidential and complex nature with customer care and flexibility

� Maintain a manual and computerised filing system

� Strong professional customer service skills when welcoming stakeholders on site

� Comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety, welfare, security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting any concerns to the appropriate person

� Ensuring the school website is kept up to date with all relevant information needed

� Responsible for all staff grievances and parental complaints and ensuring a timely response

� Attend and minute ad hoc meetings as required

� Produce all Executive Principal reports to Directors and Governors

� Organise hospitality for internal meetings and school events as requested

� Responsible for all correspondence to Directors and Governors including Agendas and the papers relating to Board/Governors Meetings, preparation of Reports to Directors/Governors and general liaison

Key Skills:

� Good standard of numeracy and literacy skills

� Ability to absorb and understand a wide range of information

� Ability to manage and deal with confidential data / issues appropriately

� Ability to proficiently use office computer and Advanced MS Office Software
