Vacancy: Contracts Manager

Location: Surrey

Randstad are currently working with a medium sized main contractor based in Surrey, this regional contractor operates across Surrey, West Sussex & South London. This contractor operates across the educational, commercial, health care sector. A typical contract will be either new build or refurbishment ranging in value from £1 Million to £10 Million, this will be either JCT or Design & build form of contract.

In recent weeks this client has identified a senior role, this was sparked by growth & expansion within this business. This senior role would be suitable for an experienced construction contracts manager, with the relevant experience listed above.

This client is looking to interview in early october with start date in November / December

Position:

As Contracts manager you will be overseeing / managing a multiple of projects from early conception to completion. You will ensure that all jobs are managed correctly to the highest standard, they are completed on time & to budget, you will have good communication skills and be able to deal with a multiple of different clients and external contacts related to this scheme. Along with managing your team in a professional manner.

Duties include:

  • Managing / overseeing all jobs from pre start to final hand over.
  • Be able to produce & program all scope of works
  • Manage and oversee all site management on their projects, this will include weekly site visits.
  • Production and presenting of progress reports to the design team and client at monthly progress meeting.
  • Issuing project related information to the design team, subcontractors, site manager, quantity surveyor, etc. and obtaining appropriate comments/approval as required.
  • Advising and guiding site managers, subcontractors, designers and operatives with work on projects.
  • Carrying out project reviews at the end of each project, with site managers and contracts director, including performance reviews of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Reporting weekly progress of projects under your control to the Contracts Director.
  • Salary & Benefits:

  • £75,000 to £90,000 depending on experience.
