Our client’s Corporate Finance is a team of over 100 professionals based in offices across Europe, Asia and the US. Their Corporate Finance (M&A Advisory and Equity Capital Markets) franchise offers a strong combination of deep local market knowledge and extensive cross-border and sector-specific expertise. In the UK, they provide integrated financial solutions to the bank’s corporate and institutional client base across a broad range of industry sectors, namely focusing on International M&A Advisory in Oil, Gas & Commodities, Utilities & Renewables, TMT, Transportation & Logistics and Infrastructure as well as Trustee Services.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role:

Role Description:

Professional level staff generally with a minimum of 7-10 years banking experience or alternative qualifications, generally providing support for the activities of senior executives (MD/D) on a day-to-day basis, including structuring and executing live transactions and supporting origination work and producing marketing materials.

Works with a Managing Director and Directors who are dedicated to a Sector (or Sectors) that are aligned to the bank’s sector coverage model, while also maintaining own business development and marketing responsibilities with support of relevant senior members of Department.

Will be aligned to Energy-focused CF UK Sector team, including holding responsibility for originating and executing Renewable Energy-focused M&A opportunities, coordinating across the Renewable Energy-focused sector teams, assisting in all Renewable Energy-focused origination efforts, keeping sector knowledge and market information up-to-date, whilst maintaining flexibility to work on important transactions outside their main Sector for the Department if needed.

Core Tasks & Material Responsibilities:

Marketing activities will include overseeing and carrying out pitch work and content, modelling, valuation, and general analysis on a day-to-day basis.

Managing pitch and valuation work undertaken by other team junior(s).

Supporting the execution lead of advisory transactions, manage the deal team on a day-to-day basis, responsible for overseeing presentation content, modelling, valuation, structuring and general analysis.

Oversight of financial analysis, cash flow modelling and business valuations in marketing and transaction execution activities.

Each Vice President will be a core member of a Business Management Workstream for Corporate Finance UK.

Coach junior team members throughout the course of an origination initiative and the execution of live deals.

Qualification/Education

Essential:Bachelors Degree

Desirable: Masters Degree inclusive of relevant internships / MBA, or equivalent professional qualification

Experience/Knowledge

Essential: Minimum 7 years of professional corporate finance / M&A experience, including a focus on the Renewable Energy sector and investors

Desirable: Knowledge and experience of Infrastructure, TMT and/or Transportation sectors

Personal Competencies

Essential: Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential; Fluency in English required; Strong research, problem solving and analytical skills; Team player who enjoys a high performance culture, strong work ethic and commitment to excellence

Desirable: Strong financial modelling & valuation skills; another European language
