We are seeking a friendly, motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Team at Singleton Hospital. They will work closely with pharmacy colleagues, clinicians, nursing staff and other members of the multi-disciplinary team delivering high quality pharmaceutical care to patients. Main roles and responsibilities include providing and supervising a range of medicines management services for patients – from the time of their admission through to their discharge. A major component will be the proactive provision of timely, evidence-based advice to prescribers to enhance patient care and promote cost-effective use of medicines.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will participate in dispensary duties and provide clinical pharmacy services to various specialities, on a rotational basis. This will allow the development of deeper knowledge, expertise, clinical and non-clinical skills under the direction of our experienced lead practitioners. Support and mentoring will be provided to the successful candidate by team members to ensure that you fulfil your potential. Applications are welcomed from recently qualified pharmacists or those looking to expand their practice in another sector. Going forward, an opportunity to undertake a distance learning clinical diploma/Independent prescribing role will be possible, if/when appropriate.
