About the service: We are delighted to be recruiting for a ODP / Theatre Practitioner to join our highly reputable private healthcare provider in their bright and vibrant private hospital on the outskirts of Ashford ,Kent. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Scrub nurse practitioner / Theatre Practitioner to join a leading, forward-thinking private hospital in their expanding hospital north of Watford. The hospital offers a range of services including specialist rehabilitation physiotherapy and outpatient diagnostic facilities including fast-track access to X-ray, MRI, CT and ultrasound. They pride themselves on their latest technology and safe and infection free work environment. The hospital has recently invested into the latest facilities and services and now offers a full range of surgical procedures and treatments. This scrub role also offers great responsibility opportunities as the theatre is rapidly growing!

A little bit about the role:

You will be working with ODP / Theatre Practitioner as part of our Theatre team and will be responsible for:

To provide exemplary planned care for patients within the perioperative department and to assist in the management and organisation of care provision within the theatre Team in the operating department across a range of clinical specialities.

Discuss, agree and explain the responsibilities for the assessment of patients including their needs and any associated risks.

Plan, delivery and evaluate care to meet patient’s health and wellbeing, keeping within policies and procedures inline for the highest quality clinic outcomes

Effective verbal and written commination with patients and colleagues, with customer service standards front of mind

Working well independently and within a team

Be NMC/ HCPC registered- your pin must not have any restrictions or conditions

Eligibility to live and work in the UK

Experience in clinical hospital settings

At least 3 years Scrub experience

Experience of variety of surgical scrub skills with good Orthopaedic knowledge & competence.

At least years working within theatre

Experience working in a busy environment under minimal supervision

Experience in orthopaedics, hip arthroplasty, knee arthroplasty and anterior cruciate ligaments reconstruction is desirable
