Assistant Engineer based in Pontllanfraith and the rate is per hr

 This role will involve:

  • Undertake a site agent/project management role as part of Network Contracting Services (NCS) with the delivery of both reactive and capital highway infrastructure construction related projects, including the delivery of highway maintenance and repairs, footway refurbishments, carriageway resurfacing and civil engineering schemes (including structures and retaining walls).
  • The post has a key role in delivering business profitability, requiring commercial awareness to ensure works are undertaken in an effective, efficient and economically viable manner, through high quality planning and value engineering solutions.
  • Additionally, the post holder will assist in organising, directing and motivating the workforce in the cost effective utilisation of plant, materials and equipment.
