THE ROLE: 

  • Engaging in contact with potential employers through personal visits, telephone and e-mail correspondence
  • Facilitating and managing employer visits to campus
  • Advising employers on appropriate recruiting methods based on organisational needs and students’ career interests
  • Sourcing student projects and internships as practical and feasible
  • Communicating relevant information to students via a variety of methods
  • Developing links with international employers in key regions of interest, such as Asia Pacific and Europe
  • Working within a ‘Consulting Sector Team’ to create and deliver a series of sector-related activities to students
  • Developing marketing strategies and materials to promote the Employer Relations Team services to recruiting organisations
  • Employing various strategies to generate new employers contacts including collaboration with the Alumni Team
  • Actively participating in events organised by business organisations or professional associates
  • Initiating contact with alumni to prospect job opportunities
  • Identifying opportunities for alumni to refer students for job vacancies
  • Creating opportunities for students to meet alumni on campus
  • Developing links with alumni overseas to source job opportunities outside of the UK
  • Sourcing student projects from alumni
  • Handling organisation and leading campus recruitment presentations and other employer-led activities
  • Organising on-campus interviews
  • Delivering large-scale campus events, such as the careers fairs

ESSENTIALS: 

  • Experience in managing events
  • Experience developing new client relationships
  • Ideally, experience in recruitment
