Job Title: Forklift Driver

Location: Chartham, Kent

Salary: £12.20 per hour

Hours: 7.30am – 6.00pm

Position 1: Sunday to Thursday

Position 2: Tuesday to Saturday

Position 3: Monday to Friday

    • Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:

  • Responsible for transporting products and other items correctly to the warehouse and packhouse.

  • Ensure your allocated vehicle is checked and safe for use and signed for each day before operation.

  • Complete daily maintenance form for forklift truck use.

  • Ensure all pallets are secured before being moved, using strapping and corner boards.

  • Ensure stock is used as instructed by Stock Control.

  • Check with Stock Control regularly to confirm what is required for the packhouse and warehouse.

  • Assess lines, machines, graders and warehouse to ensure the packhouse and warehouse receives the correct quantity, references and product without delays

  • Ensure all pallets are labelled and released with the appropriate release labels.

  • Ensure issues that arise are communicated to stock controller immediately.

  • Operate grading machines once trained.

  • Ensure accurate completion of relevant paperwork.

  • Ensure correct PO and variety is put onto the graders.

  • Ensure store doors remain closed to prevent pest infestation and temperature regime.

  • Clear all product and cardboard from the packhouse and warehouse at the end of the day.

  • Ensure all empty bins are stacked at least 5 meters from the main buildings.

  • Ensure pallets used / produced are scanned onto and off the stock system

  • Valid forklift licence is essential

  • Ideally you will have barrow experience but not essential
