About this opportunity

We are seeking applications from self-motivated Production Engineers to specialise in the Printing and Decorating element of the can-making process. Full training will be provided so if you possess the drive to work on your own initiative and pride yourself on making a difference, then this role is for you!

Shift Pattern

You will work on a Continental Based Shift Rota, attending 2 x 12-hour days followed by 2 x 12-hour nights, then 4 days off. After a pattern of five of these shifts you have 14 days off and we also give you 18 days off in the summer.

This equates to rostered shifts per year and an outstanding work/life balance!

  • Main Responsibilities

    As a member of the production line crew, you will be responsible for:

  • Running, setting, adjusting, and maintaining production machinery to produce quality printed cans to ISO standards
  • Showing a commitment to quality as well as health and safety
  • Maintaining a supply of raw material and inspecting it for defects or poor quality
  • Continuing a good standard of housekeeping and supporting the reduction of downtime across the lines
  • Maximising the use of “line downtime” by assisting in the problem area, undertaking cross-line support or housekeeping duties, reacting to downtime in order to minimise line build-backs and shunting
  • Required Education and Qualifications

  • Level 3 City & Guilds/Apprenticeship, or equivalent, in Off-Set Printing
  • Beneficial Knowledge and Experience

  • Printing / Decorating experience
  • Experience in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment
  • Required Skills and Competencies
