Graduate Project Manager

Our client is looking for a Graduate Project Manager to join their Development Team and to help us to take forward their ambitious growth plans and develop new homes.

As their plans grow, They will encourage you to grow. They will help you to build your skills, so you will be a valued member of their high performing Development Team. As well as a structured on the job and soft skills training programme you will be funded and supported to complete your relevant degree course if not already done so, and to become RICS or CIOB professionally qualified. You will have excellent career prospects and on successful completion of the programme there will be an opportunity for progression to the role of Project Manager with a salary range of £39,123 to £41,182.

Location: Tongwynlais, Cardiff (with some home working)

Salary: £28,000 to £32,148

Graduate Project Manager Duties:

Reporting to their Head of Development, you will be responsible for identifying affordable development sites and opportunities and for supporting the progression of schemes through from feasibility to acquisition, and on to supporting the project post contract development. You will also need to maintain working relationships with consultants, Welsh Government, and local authorities, along with our internal departments in order to continually improve their housing products.

Graduate Project Manager Requirements:

You will have achieved (or be on target to achieve) a minimum 2:2 degree in a construction related subject. You will have first-rate communication, organisational and team-working skills and a full driving licence. You must be able to demonstrate genuine passion for the role together with a commitment to on-going learning and personal development. Whilst structured learning is key, you will also have the opportunity to get stuck in and show them what you’re made of from the start. The ability to be proactive and work on your initiative is therefore crucial.

The Graduate Project Manager position is a busy, varied, and challenging role and you must be able to demonstrate great analytical knowledge and be an effective communicator and team player with excellent IT skills. Knowledge of procurement of works, project management and contract administration is essential for the role, along with great time management skills.
