We’re looking for a Data & Insights Director to join our team in London as part of our Strategy function.

You will be responsible for making data a strategic asset for Money20/20 and enabling an improvement in revenues through both delegate acquisition and retention and sponsorship. You will provide the business the insight to improve decision making and identification of market changes. You will play a key role in the delivery of the monetisation of data to the external FinTech market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Successfully manage, own and deliver data related projects into the business.
  • Define and capture business requirements for all data projects, and work with stakeholders to understand their challenges and how data will address the problem and provide solutions.
  • Work with cross functional teams to ensure we have the right processes in place to support accurate capture of data, and movement of data between systems.
  • Be the voice of the business teams to ensure tech teams incorporate data needs into their systems and processes.
  • Deliver insight into the business so they can take necessary action to drive better experiences to the customer.
  • Educate teams about the use of data to help make better informed decisions.
  • Lead business projects from an analytical perspective, defining and implementing the methods by which the project will add value.
  • Analyse and Interpret the results and present recommendations/actions.
  • Be the owner to identify, improve and enrich customer and market data to support decision making.
  • Support Research, Strategy and M&A team as required.

  • Your Experience

  • Previously held management role(s) in insight or consulting function
  • Used to working across multiple stakeholders in matrix reporting structures
  • Management of vendors and budgets
  • Building and managing strong, motivated teams
  • Comfortable defining business requirements & data requirements
  • Strong understanding of CRM, specifically how to engage customers, measure impacts and evolve programs
  • Worked extensively across different technology platforms and processes; able to pull together a holistic view of data, processes and analytics required to drive a business
  • Experience of releasing output into operational businesses, working with other functional teams to embed the insight into operational processes and practises
  • Experience of building customer segmentation models and operationalised their use within a business
  • Strong Leadership and Influencing skills; interacting with senior stakeholders; highly personable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Customer-led viewpoint and insight focus
  • Able to use data and insight creatively
  • An expert in SQL and RDBMS concepts highly desirable, including experience in working with large datasets
  • Expert data visualisation knowledge highly desirable
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
  • Managing change and embedding new technologies and working practice
  • Advanced analytical techniques (e.g. correlation, cluster analysis) to support key decisions
