Main duties of the job

As a member of the OD team the post holder will contribute to the design and delivery of people and organisational development strategies, processes and interventions that help create a culture of learning and support the development of a competent, capable and agile workforce. The post holder will work across the organisation to manage, coordinate and deliver agreed organisational development interventions and will also have a key role in supporting the development and implementation of the Stronger Together BCUHB organisational development route map.

This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months to meet the needs of the service.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

In addition, the post holder will have responsibility within the team for particular work streams/projects as well as supervising responsibility of OD Officers and other staff within the OD team as required. The post holder will be required to work with a high degree of autonomy, self-management and professionalism, working closely with a wide range of partners, both within and outside of the organisation. The post holder will be responsible for reporting progress on work portfolio, ensuring targets are met, and risks identified and managed, and financial balance is achieved.

Essential criteria

  • Degree or equivalent experience in a HR/OD related field. (shortlisting criteria 1)
  • Experience in planning, developing and delivering a range of learning and development programmes in both virtual and in-person settings. (shortlisting criteria 2)
  • Desirable criteria

  • Post graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Experience of OD initiatives in a large complex organisation

  • To work in the UK, all candidates who are not UK or Republic of Ireland (RoI) nationals require sponsorship to obtain either a Health and Care visa or Skilled Worker visa , unless you have permission to work via another route.
