One of the key functions who will deliver on this is Health and Safety, and we are now looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to join us on a fixed term contract for 2 years covering two of our museums in the North.

You can be contractually based at either the Science & Industry Museum in Manchester, or the National Science & Media Museum in Bradford.

About the role

In this role, you will advise, support and influence various teams across the Group, with a specific focus on the Museums in Bradford and Manchester site. You will review and monitor H&S incidents and investigations, complete specialist assessments such as noise and DSE assessments, and generally promote awareness and company-wide understanding of health and safety regulations and best-practice. This is a varied role and offers a great opportunity to shape how we approach Health and Safety.


About you
Joining us, you’ll have a recognised qualification in Health and Safety, and knowledge of key regulations, for example around fire safety, safe boiler operations, legionella, and asbestos management, etc. You’ll have experience completing H&S audits, investigations, providing guidance and developing procedures. Working with contractors, internal and external stakeholders, and with visitors, you’ll need to be a strong communicator and relationship builder.
