The Recruitment Co. is currently recruiting for Plumbers to join our clients growing team based across South Wales.

Contract: Permanent

Salary: Up to £26,000 per annum

Hours of work: Full time: 40 hours per week- Overtime Optional

Must possess a driver’s licence and be prepared to travel between sites in South West Wales. NVQ Level 2 qualification required as a minimum.

Job Purpose

  • Undertake a range of remediation and plumbing tasks to water systems. All tasks must be carried out in the most compliant, efficient, effective manner and in accordance with the relevant legislation and the specification requirements.
  • Contribute towards and support a client focused approach of delivering optimum service delivery.
  • Contribute and support continuous improvement across the business.

Accountabilities

  • Undertake water system remediation’s works such as plumbing repairs, maintenance and installations on hot and cold-water systems in accordance with; ACoP L8 , HSG 274, HTM:04 01 , Water Regulations, BSEN 806.
  • TMV servicing.
  • Plumbing repairs.
  • Daily reporting of activities and outputs as required via the relevant media.
  • Provide advice to clients as required.
  • Be prepared to carry out Water Technician related tasks i.e. monitoring and maintenance.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Complete all water system works in accordance with industry standards, client requirements and within agreed timescales.
  • Provide accurate reports to the Plumbing/Project Manager as required.
  • Provide effective advice to clients in a professional manner.
  • Positive and professional representation of the company.
  • Ensure all works are undertaken in accordance with Health and Safety standards and regulations.
  • Effective adherence to vehicle policy at all times offering methods of improvement where possible.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Essential:-

  • Level 2 or above City and Guild Plumbing Qualifications or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate previous 2 years experience in the plumbing sector of the water treatment industry.
  • Demonstrate competence through training records and experience.
  • Demonstrate ability to work alone in a multi-site capacity, working to strict quality control systems and operational procedures.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in basic IT applications- MS Word, Excel and utilisation of electronic capture systems.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of the respective legislation and guidance material. (ACoP L8, HTM: 0401, Water Regulations, BS 8580)
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
