Salary – £22,049- £23,530 pro rata (+ £750 car allowance) per annum- depending on skills and experience Contract type – Permanent

About the role

Working for Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Support Service (GDASS – part of GreenSquareAccord), GDASS provides support to victims of domestic abuse (16+) living in Gloucestershire.

In addition to support services, GDASS also operate a helpline and manage the Places of Safety properties.

We are currently seeking a Groupwork Co-facilitator to join our team within GDASS to deliver groupwork, both in person and virtually, for men and women who have experienced, or who are experiencing domestic abuse. This will be on a part time and permanent basis.

You will encourage and offer training to GDASS staff who would like to facilitate groupwork programmes and ensure they have what they need for delivery.

You will manage the safety of those taking part in groupwork and support them throughout the process by carrying out regular risk assessments, safety planning and maintaining meaningful contact with participants between sessions.

Within the role, you will also support the implementation of the GDASS Champion Network by working with the wider team to identify domestic abuse champions in our partner agencies, supporting the training programme and delivering forums and training events.

About you

It is essential that you have previous experience in delivering groupwork to victims of domestic abuse and experience of working with victims of domestic abuse.

Additional experience of working directly with customers in a challenging or potentially challenging environment is also required for this role.

You will have the ability to carry out assessments quickly yet thoroughly and prioritise workload, manage caseload and be able to make appropriate decisions when applicable.

An understanding of core Microsoft Office systems is essential.
