About the role

We are looking to appoint enthusiastic and dedicated individual to work within the Special Educational Needs and Disability Service. The service is focused on strengthening relationships with families and settings and developing pathways of support for children and young people. Being a part of SEND and Inclusion Department we work closely with Educational Psychology Service and SEND Advisory Service to implement innovative way of working with families, settings and other agencies.

You will be working alongside Team Managers and SEND Officers within Primary SEND Team with focus on Education Health Care Needs Assessments and phase transfer to secondary education. This role is an exciting opportunity for people who are proactive and committed to drive a change and to develop our interface with settings. You will be working closely with Team Managers to strengthen co-production and to improve outcomes for our children and young people.

On a day to day basis you will be working closely with settings and other agencies within SEND as well as families and young people with special needs and disabilities to ensure bespoke, holistic delivery of support through Education Health Care Needs Assessment and review of EHC Plans to best assist the young person and their family. Your reflective nature and passionate approach to improvements as well as communication skills are desired to ensure high quality of work.
