The post holder will be responsible to the Track Maintenance Manager for managing a wide range of revenue and capital funded civil engineering projects from inception though to closure. Projects types include a range of PWay assets (re-rails, renewals, component life extension and refurbishment works) including environmental considerations on the railway network and will include complex, multidisciplinary projects as well as minor works. Essential Criteria  ¿ Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or other relevant construction related degree¿ Minimum of 3 years¿ experience in managing civil engineering projects¿ Experience in managing NEC Professional Service and/or Works Contracts¿ Experience of using MS Word, Excel and Outlook¿ Proven experience in managing project budgets and schedules¿ Full current driving licence and access to a vehicle to meet the requirements of the post¿ Sound knowledge and experience of project management methodologies and documentation Desirable Criteria ¿ Project Management accreditation (IPMA Level D or above) e.g APM, Prince 2¿ Experience in managing civil engineering projects for rail or highway structures (e.g. rail assets, roads, structures, drainage etc.)¿ Experience of working in a safety critical environment Please note that this vacancy closes at 12 noon on the specified date Please ensure to download a copy of the job description before the closing date Translink is committed to equality of opportunity.  In this instance applications from women would be  particularly welcome.
