We are seeking a full-time Scrub Practitioner to work 37.5 hours 07:30 – 20:30, open Monday-Saturday. Part-time hours may be considered with a minimum of 16 hours per week. Shift patterns for theatre staff vary on the workload, and they need to be flexible – there is a combination of early shifts, late, and long days. Staggered start times are on offer as required.
To give you an idea of what your role as Scrub Practitioner would look like, here are a few of the tasks you will focus on:
– Delivering safe, quality care for patients during their perioperative phase
– Supporting and assisting in the management and organisation of care provision within the Operating Department
– Contributing to quality improvement
– Ensuring appropriate measures are taken with respect to Health and Safety for patients, relatives, visitors, hospital staff and contractors
You will need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN) or Operating department practitioner (ODP) to apply for this Scrub Practitioner position. You must also be registered with the HCPC or NMC and have experience within scrub.
