Robert Half have partnered exclusively with an established FMCG company based near Newbury who are recruiting for a 1st Line Support Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation who are passionate about their staff and their customers.

The Role

You will be a part of an established 1st/2nd line service desk who provide quality IT support to users across 4 sites in the UK. You will be the first point of contact for IT queries, logging queries and ensuring tickets are resolved in a timely manner. We are looking for confident, articulate and customer service driven candidates to be the face of our IT team. Other responsibilities include:

  • Provide 1st line support via telephone and remote to all users
  • Triage and troubleshoot hardware and software queries
  • Contribute to documentation
  • Onboard and off-boarding users
  • Liaise with the wider IT team to manage escalations

About You

  • Previous experience working on a service desk
  • Strong understanding of workplace technologies – Active Directory, O365, ITSM tools, Group policy
  • Customer service driven
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience supporting Windows 10, Windows server 2012
  • A good understanding of ITIL principles
