Why Join HEINEKEN?
There has never been a more exciting time to join our Manchester Brewery. We’re firmly planted in the community thanks to a number of investments in the site over the past few years, totalling more than £70 Million. Our brewery remains a pivotal part of our UK supply chain network, producing around five million hectolitres per year of Fosters, Kronenbourg 1664 and, more recently Heineken®. Were delighted to have been given the quality seal of approval from our Amsterdam Head Office to brew Heineken on our site and as a bonus, were making our carbon footprint smaller in the process.

Whats the role?
We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineering Technician (with a heavy bias towards Electrical) to work in our packaging area covering two canning lines (running at approx. 150,000 cans per hour together) and a kegging line (approx. 700 kegs per hour). At a very high level, our technicians perform corrective maintenance and support our operators to ensure safe, efficient, and timely recoveries from any plant stoppages in order to minimise lost time and to optimise performance.

What are we looking for?
Firstly, you will need to possess the necessary trade qualifications (NVQ or CITB Apprenticeship and/or an HNC Electrical or Mechanical Engineering) and preferably with an electrical bias (previous control/instrumentation experience would be highly desirable but not essential) Youll also have worked in similar highly-automated and safety-critical manufacturing site, and we are hoping that you will come in and hit the ground running although we will develop you with our continuous improvement methodology (we use TPM) being our fundamental way of working.

Your can-do attitude and enthusiasm will be warmly welcomed and your problem-solving skills will be put to good use. If you have a positive outlook with a continuous improvement mindset, and solid experience of modern planned maintenance techniques and Computerised Maintenance Management systems, then we want to hear from you.

Your confidence and ability to work autonomously, and with colleagues, will help build an awesome team culture and working environment based on trust, accountability, and respect one that youll really enjoy being part of!
