Role: Sewing Machinist
Location: Sheffield
Hourly rate: £9.50 – £10.00 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Purpose of Job – To assist the in-house production department of the Company
Key Objectives:
- To assist in the manufacture of goods, working to the specification stated by the company, in order to provide customer satisfaction.
- To achieve the required quality levels during the manufacture of goods to maintain the standards required by the Company.
- To help the Production Manager to achieve the objectives of the production department ensuring that orders leave on time.
- To provide accurate data when required enabling the compilation of Time and Motion studies for the purpose of costing Company products.
- To maintain the general care and cleanliness of production machinery to prevent unnecessary breakdown and loss of production time.
The successful candidate:
Knowledge and Awareness
- Production Machinery, Overlock, Cover seam, Lock stitch etc
- Company products
- Company policies and procedures
Skills:
- Communicate effectively in written and verbal English
- Ability to work from written specification sheets and provide methods
- Ability to follow verbal instructions accurately
