Hiring Manager: Technical Support Manager

Our UK Sales team are looking for an Applications Engineer to partner with our customers, providing an array of technical and commercial product and applications expertise.

You might be at an early stage in your Engineering career, or be a little bit further down the path, either way we would love to hear from you!

With a passion for technical support you will manage the progression of projects through quotation, preparation, purchasing and commissioning, whilst providing 1st line technical support to customers, engineers and service.

WMFTS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc (LSE: SPX), a global organization employing approximately 4,800 people worldwide.

This role will focus on:

  • Liaise with Customers and Sales Engineers to produce a specification; interpret specifications and generate accurate costing for all products.
  • Provide detailed quotations both verbal and written for standard and engineered products in-line with KPI’s.
  • Take a project lead for assigned RFQ’s ensuring that all information is completed and returned to the customer in a professional manner within the designated KPI.
  • Provide UK Sales Support team with technical and commercial advice where required.
  • Create relevant and considered training plans to maintain product knowledge.
  • Process Customer orders as per departmental procedures.
  • Sourcing the necessary drawings to accompany customer order confirmations.
  • Create customer specific trade agreements in AX to ensure pricing is correct.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Engineering qualification, such as an HNC or Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience dealing with fluid handling products is preferred.
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  • The confidence to put customer focus at the centre of your work
