Your responsibilities
The Process Development Engineer is part of our Medical Repair Service Engineering team, and is responsible for supporting with the repair and service of Olympus medical equipment.
Implementation, support and development of technical repair processes over the entire product lifecycle in accordance with the original equipment manufacturers (OEM) specifications
Responsible for initiating cost reduction, process improvement and tooling development for MRS both in the UI and EMEA regions
Providing technical assistance to MRS repair operations, including customer and quality investigations, workshop equipment maintenance and liaising with the manufacturers on technical issues
Provide remote technical support to internal and external customers
Completing project deliverables within planned project cost constraints and timescales
Your qualification
Minimum of a HNC or Apprenticeship in an Engineering discipline or demonstrated experience in a similar role
Experience in a Service Support or Engineering role is desirable
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma processes is desirable
Clear, concise written and spoken communication skills
Ability to present information in a structured way to audiences of varied technical levels
Able to work as part of a team and independently
This position will require long periods of both sitting and standing, as well as the expectation to travel within the UI & EMEA region and on occassion, the requirement to work unsociable hours.
