Forensic Support Officer

We currently have two exciting opportunities available for Forensic Support Officers to join Avon & Somerset Police. The positions are full time and are based in Portishead until the end of March . You will be providing customer service and administrative support to the Regional Forensic Service.

Your duties will include:

  • Acting as a point of contact for face to face, phone and email queries to the department

  • Undertake data inputting, updating and scanning onto computer based systems

  • Maintaining departmental records

  • Checking stock levels

  • Organising maintenance services for buildings as required

  • Booking vehicles, transport and accommodation as necessary

    • Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a Forensic Science environment – not essential

  • The ability to communicate effectively – both in written and verbal form

  • Experience of general office admin

  • The ability to self motivate and work on own initiative
